I recently went into the Connected cannabis dispensary, right off mission street, in downtown San Francisco. It was around 4pm (near the busiest time of day with lots of traffic) when we parked the car outside the store. We were only inside the shop for about ten minutes. Walking back outside I immediately noticed that my backseat window had been smashed in; they robbed my car of a Gucci backpack with 12k cash.
I believe these thieves are paying homeless people to peep inside of peoples' cars outside of the dispensary, and when the 'spotter' sees something in the car that has value they call to someone, who is parked around the corner, to come smash a window and grab whatever they can.
If you come to this store do not leave anything in your car or make sure someone stays in the car or just drives around the block until you are done inside the store. I would even recommend parking a few blocks away from the dispensary, but even then do not leave anything in your car. These lowlives have their routine down and can be in-and-out of your car in less than 60 seconds.
