So I was in humboldt county on may 13 and went by proper wellness in eureka because of the covid issue on line ordering and curbside is about the only way to get your product. So I bought about 200 bucks worth of the entire alienlabs line (alien mint, and planet dosi and some 1 g of galactic. When I picked up my order I waited tell I go home and opened my bag and found this. (Included pic) if you notice the cultivated date is 10/8/2019 which made me startled because I was amazed that they keep it on the shelf that long so I looked at the package date (4/10/20) that’s when I got worried I opened the top and bammer old ass outdoor smelled like hay. I wrote a comment on alienlabs page saying what’s up with this and they said we don’t do that and we buy back everything after six months and to hit there dm and they would handle it. So I did and didn’t hear back tell the next day After they had been robbed and were dealing with bigger things. When the alien labs account wrote me back he oh dude that’s outdoor you only get one chance with outdoor and made it seem like I didn’t have a clue how it works. And he would refund me anyway but really it was my fault is what he made it seem like because I bought the product. This got me a little upset because I am a veteran of the frowning game and been doing this stuff way before it was trendy. What I was upset about more than the fact of the thirty dollars was how is a company a big as alienlabs and connected going to let there distro package and sell 6 month old pre covid harvested weed to packaged and sold to people during a pandemic. I may have made a comment about karma getting them back for me and others after they got robbed (which has caused alienlabs to block me) but what are they doing to people who trust there brand and name. I have been friends with ted and Tyler since high school so I hit ted up In that conversation with Ted (returnofthealien) he says yeah that should have never been packaged or on sold. What do you guys think Cleanup the industry
Sorry to kill the fantasy but due to regulation, the current state of the industry and simply how cannabis seed to sale works, most flower retailed in CA is a ways off from harvest date. If product is stored, handled and packaged properly, it should not be degraded to the point of what you described. It was probably sub par product to begin with and the packaging process wasn't as good as it could have been.
It baffles me sometimes the lack of information in this industry. If you are smoking outdoor, it was harvested in October-November of 2019. This goes for every single company who sells outdoor flower. Its June, meaning you willingly know you are smoking 7 month old product. If you dnt want that issue, buy indoor!
How is it that a guy named “Mr.Humboldt” doesn’t know how outdoor harvest season works?! It’s not like this hasn’t been happening for years. Either this a is a troll or just really dumb custy whom doesn’t pay any attention to how outdoor harvest seasons work.
I bought an eighth of their indoor Sherbacio the other week and it was harvested in July and packaged in August. Yes, indoor from a licensed delivery service. It was so dry and disappointing. I commented and messaged but they won't reply to either.
6 months is within the window of not terrible if they had a humidity pack in there. The real crimes against the consumer happen arount clubs selling over a year old flower. The testing is only valid for a year on all cannabis products. If upu come across something older than a year being sold, the seller is breaking the law, they are supposed to destroy those products. It is crazy that they would sell flower at full price that is that old, but carts and concentrates are both subject to those laws. The only way to hold clubs and the industry responsible is to call em out and for all those taxes the state owes yhe consumer real product protection
