Canndescent Scandal

Anonymous | January 13, 2020 | 33 9
  • image

Adrian Sedlin is the CEO and founder of Canndescent, a "luxury weed business."

Sedlin has been involved with the Bargain Network, which was raided by the FBI for corruption, prostitution etc.

Sedlin runs in interesting circles -- his top investor for Canndescent is Lee McPherson, who was suing Canndescent. Sedlin bought McPherson out with money from other investors who thought they were investing in the company's growth. Lee McPherson is under investigation/lawsuit charges for rackateering and corruption; McPherson is under investigation for opening shell companies to secure loans etc. McPherson's attorney is being investigated by FBI on similar charges, and we think he lost his license.

The lawsuits were tying in Canndescent and hence the big payout they made to McPherson.

Adrian Sedlin is the company he keeps -- any investors/suitors for Canndescent would need to get rid of him as the CEO in order for the company to thrive.

Bargain Network raided by the FBI? That company sucked but FBI had nothing to do with them. This website lets some real idiots post real idiot stuff that is obvious and blatant ratf**king. Google all the claims of this story and you’ll see how particularly weak the sauce is.

Yeah man that old DUI sure means his business is... uh... yeah not sure what point you’re making. And if getting pinched for unrelated stuff means his business is bad or corrupt, man, you do NOT want to look around literally any other company in this industry. Everyone in the company knows Adrian's writing...hence the first few posts defending himself from the article. Guy is compulsive, stalks the company's Instagram and social accounts, writes everything himself thinking he is fulfilling on his dream of being a writer. He's a tool. He's a classic hard core narcissist. Everyone in the company and industry is a toy to him...someone to be played and manipulated to achieve his own sick goals. He is blatant about it to employees...is proud of himself that he plays the "industry old timers" in order to give the appearance of fitting in. How he gives the media what they want to play the game and manipulate them. He doesn't respect anyone and believes everyone else is stupid and he's the smartest one in the room (classic Harvard training) He's a real class act (not). Everyone sees through him. And, what the others have said about abuse is totally true. He is cruel. Some have used he term evil. Other have said he is "dark" or a "lost soul". He said very weird perverted sexual comments that make just about every employee uncomfortable. Ask him about his "virgin cannabis"...the guy is truly gross. He has little friends in Santa Barbara, the media can't stand him. Here's some links to the media coverage about his failed pitch to get a dispensary in Santa Barbara. Here's a great photo and article of Mr. Bugeyes if you think the person above was exaggerating about the eye thing...it is definitely a real thing: https://www.independent.com/2018/06/07/santa-barbara-pot-shops-circling-state-street/ "Sedlin happened to be the first applicant out the gate. He won few friends fast and quickly lost even those. If you read the trade journals, Sedlin is routinely hailed as a visionary genius. No doubt that’s true. What I saw was a shameless mansplainer in full flower". Here another link - https://www.noozhawk.com/article/6_recreational_marijuana_companies_make_their_pitches_to_city_of_santa_barb But Sedlin didn't win many fans in the audience. Santa Barbara resident Mark Gustafson called Sedlin's comments about marijuana "very insulting and ignorant," stunned that he would compare critics of the drug to people who believe the world is flat.

Canndescent has had garbage product since Day 1, anyone with experience from California acknowledges this. The company thinks they're slick just because they got a bunch of stupid dispensary owners to tout their product, but they are just a flash in the pan like so many of these other so-called big brands. When the bottom inevitably falls out California will be pissing on your corporate grave.

Employees have their paperwork. Look at the terms. Understand the order things get paid out and how you will be last on the list. Ask HR (get it all in writing) what happens if the company is sold. Are you guaranteed that your equity units are recognized, transferred to the new entity or of any value? How are things paid out. Don't allow them to gloss over things, get the truth. Have them outline what exactly happens with preferred, common and then equity units. Employees might very well be surprised. Do you trust Adrian's "word" or do you trust when things are in writing (or in this case not in writing).

    Jan 25, 2020, 05:39 PM  Reply

Here goes: Adrian writes stuff like this: “Being canndescent entails applying your best and highest self to all things at all times. It also means being a wonderful friend, relative, neighbor or partner. It means transacting all of your affairs with honesty, integrity, generosity and compassion" (website). It is time he actually live by the words he writes. His elitist arrogance blocks his ability to a leader. He is mostly cruel and removed from employees. He has zero, I repeat, zero respect for people at the grow as they are beneath him. He doesn't see them as amazing loving people...they are viewed as uneducated, stupid workers he can use. He doesn't know their families or cares. He has deep weird issues with women. Makes odd sexual comments continually. Is not politically correct when he speaks or acts. People walk on eggshells around him. A real Jekyll and Hyde. Control freak. Burns people. And, threatens people. He's a guy that walks on thin emotional ice. Vape launch irritated employees as they were treated very poorly while Adrian and slathered himself with his own self-aggrandizing-cologne. Unkind human. Actions speak louder than the words he writes.

You are right Micheal. It is time for the employees of Canndescent past and present to come forward and report what they know. The product manager and employees asked to make cannabis transactions across state lines need to go to the authorities immediately with their documents and post them here. The investors should ask for a review of Adrian's credit card statements, ask what the ROI was on the vape launch, review all lawsuits, vape vendor issues, how much revenue is actually coming from brokering other people's flower and so forth. The investors should ask the CEO to step down for promoting an unhealthy environment and asking employees to do something illegal. As far as the unprofessional, low-life language and behavior of Adrian, that is self-regulating. It appears Adrian is another Adam Bierman.

And that means the agency pulled the online content they created and were not paid for. Go to the Canndescent website and one of the videos no longer works. Adrian's a showoff but open the curtain and, well... the great things about Canndescent were not created by Adrian and honestly it would be best if he sold it as the great people he used have stock and it would be really nice if they were rewarded as they deserve it. There were incredible people at the start. Lets pray that Cresco or Canopy or Acreage or Green Growth brands buys them. His words and thoughts and crap are about what is going on inside of him. Please do not internalize any of these comments to mean anything less about yourselves. Rise up. This boy man isn't smarter, better or more powerful than you. A flashy degree is meaningless without real human connection and improving the lives of those around you. Arian put himself out there as the singular hero and creator of the Canndescent company and this is the biggest lie..... him, him, him, me,me,me, I,I,I...now he needs to try and fix it solely on his own as no one wants to have the dudes back because he didn't have theirs. Time to sell to let the good light shine and for adrian to go to Europe or Croatia with his family... his wifey will plan the perfect spot... will she use the company credit cards... that's another question for another day...

"Lets pray that Cresco or Canopy or Acreage or Green Growth brands buys them" - absolutely NEVER going to happen. There is nothing of value here besides the assets at the grow which all of the companies can get on their own land in the desert. Canndescennt and Goodbrands are tainted names in the industry. I feel ashamed to have this on my resume. Wild how things turned south so quickly. But that goes to show you what leadership can do. Adrian ruined this whole brand. Also fun fact for those who don't know. He started this brand with his brother in law and them kicked him out due to greed. Keep racking up the karma points Adrian. A storm is coming.

May we ask whether you are blond with blue eyes? Because as you can see from the brand’s social media, to his wife, his formal first assistant, amongst certain others that quickly rose to power while seemingly never lifting a finger... There is definitely a type that he and or his upper management seems to favor. Just saying..

Oh man, did you nail Adrian on the head with this one. The add-on here is that he has size requirements for his ladies.

Rick told me Adrian's on mediation and that Adrian engaged in prostitution, strip clubs and so forth. Historically, he has had affairs. This is why his wife Kristen has full access to his calendar, reviews all his credit card charges and bugs the *t out of his admins and other people in the office.

A former colleague shared this link with me for those who want justice to Adrian anonymously. Just report him to the SEC for investor fraud which he is clearly guilty of. Don't let toxic people like that get away with it. https://www.sec.gov/whistleblower/submit-a-tip

Everything you see here is true. I work in cultivation and it is a gell hole of nothing but manipulation and threats on your career and at times your life. Jeff Homolya and Tony Stanton run everything in desert hot springs and manipulate it all. they are extremely passive-aggressive smiling in your face then stabbing you in the back when you try to do some good for someone else. If you are not part of their club you will not advance and will be intimit=dated at every corner. They also manipulate their numbers. Pounds of the product have mysteriously gone missing and is not found in Metrc that because they have been selling it off on the side threatening those recordings the numbers not to speak about it. They have lied to investors and employes who depend on this job. Please if anyone can help us this is turning into a very violent work sapce. They need to be brought to Justice.

Adrian Sedlin spoke to me and employees like we were in an abusive relationship. Each day we walked into that company I and others felt more and more worthless. He had beaten us down, like He had done to many others. Much of the grind falls to employees who have low self-esteem or who are co-dependent. Employees routinely cry at work, have panic attacks, text each other on how abusive Adrian is and go to therapy because of the environment and events they experience. The level of emotional trauma in the company is high with fear being the undercurrent. Adrian appoints people to positions that are not qualified. Rick has zero experience in a scaled corporation and little to no COO experience but he's Adrians bud. A bud that talks bad about Adrian to others in an attempt to extract info from employees and not appear as Adrian's friend so as to fit in -- like employees can't see through that. Come on. Rick is no ones friend. Two-faced, insincere. And, he is beaten down by Adrian in an incredibly toxic, toxic way. This is a "mean guys" environment of toxic culture and executed bad behavior, repressed employees, a highly repressed head of HR. Intimidation permeates the workforce. All trickles down from Adrian. It's hard to do the job. This is not a one-sided unfair narrative for Adrian. It is where the truth about who he is can be told and in the process being cathartic. The reality is, if Adrian was a truly kind, good biz person who respected people of all sexes, races, sizes, incomes and education there would have been no first post. Adrian is a gaslighting narcissist. He's a different kind of Weinstein. Generally employees gather and rally saying #MeToo after living through the hell Adrian creates and the soul-hurting experiences of his wicked tongue.

Adrian never once wanted Canndescent to be a medical focused company. He is purely recreational. It is funny that he's out there advocating the medical side which is really a cover for promoting his recreationally focused company. Totally inauthentic, totally slimy, and totally illustrates how self-centered he is and how out of touch he is with reality...which way does the wind blow...Adrian follows whatever way it serves him. And, listen, so many brands are hiding behind "medicine" when in actuality they are not. Stop it already with twisting this plant to serve selfish needs. If you are rec than be rec. You want to get high than go for it not judging that, just be honest. Being a medical wellness company and actually providing impeccable, standardized cannabis medicine is far and few between. Those actually making great RSO, topicals and other things with the heart and sincere intention for medicine and wellness market themselves as doing so. Adrian is a charlatan.

Adrian has this whole thing where he tells everyone he lives in gratitude. Never saw it. Never did he tell people he was grateful for them or that he was glad they worked with him. Never once did he go around the room and express public gratitude for people. He's mostly angry at people, marginalizes people, yells at people, sends off bad vibes and says the most ugly things about people. One of the most prejudice people I have ever met. A very stupid man that is a lost soul.

Adrian is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Highly toxic. Mean. It's all about him and not about creating long-term value. Sure he will say he invested a lot of his own money. Not to worry, he has taken care of himself financially and will make sure he does no matter what happens to people's investments. It didn't concern him in the least to throw his fellow co-founder under the bus. Maybe the co-founder wasn't perfect. Neither is Adrian. F. Adrian has an arrest record! Adrian has done shifty stuff at previous companies. To judge his co-founder or to treat him so poorly. That's on Adrian.
