Do not believe Cream of the Crop

Cream of the Crop had us packaging the weed they get fronted from random growers in a non humidity controlled environment, and they wonder why their stuff is always dry. Instead of paying for better conditions or higher quality cannabis, they pay for murals in their warehouse, and new flower jars to put the mids in.

This company has knowingly put seeded ice cream and wedding cake strains in the jars then renamed them "Bourbon Vanilla" and "Purple Reign." We spent an extra day cleaning it up for the obvious seeds but they were full of them.

The company also had a buyer that told us mold we had found was just the plant turning purple. They have a PHD in positive psychic energy exercises on payroll too. He would lead us in "gratefulness exercises," and shit like that instead of just giving us raises. This is what happens when you let people who don't smoke weed start cannabis companies.

The worst thing overall is the "FSO" though -- instead of getting biomass ethanol extracted and cleaning it up enough for consumption... they just source god awful distillate crude from people like heavy hitters and mix it with hemp cbd isolate until it gets to the ratio they think will sell.

Cream of the Crop even have this guy that had a lung transplant, that has been helped by FSO, as their posterchild for wellness; but when the FSO they sell went to shit he hit them up saying the last batch made him sick and they honestly told this dude, "It's probably just a different strain," and that he "might have to take more."

These facts made me feel bad to even package the stuff, knowing what they were selling it as.

If you are whistleblowing, i would recommend leaving out wage related issues. To be taken seriously, just focus on issues that are related to product mislabeling or misidentification. We have all seen how ex employees slander places they no longer work on weedmaps. Corporate culture sucks and bosses will always surround themselves with yes men instead of paying rank en file workers more. Organize unionize get what you are worth.

**Official Response from Cream of the Crop Gardens Partners** It deeply saddens us to see what we assume to be an ex-employee get so upset to feel the need to spread false information about our company… especially on a platform like Blacklist that continues to play such an important role in our industry. We genuinely consider the members on our team as family and strive to create a work environment with competitive compensation which, in many cases, is higher than the industry average while also providing benefits such as health coverage to ALL of our employees as well as opportunities for upward mobility and advancement. We promote from within whenever possible and building a positive culture that represents our company values of excellence, acceptance, positivity, innovation, and dependability is paramount. As with many legacy cannabis brands, Cream of the Crop has been built by a community of passionate people who care about cannabis and its valuable place in our society. While most of our flower is the handy work of our own team in Desert Hot Springs, we also believe it’s important to support the community by also working with small batch indoor growers… all of whom work tirelessly to cultivate the best possible cannabis at the highest standard for our customers. As a brand representing the highest quality cannabis, we also pride ourselves on unparalleled customer service. If anyone ever has a complaint or is dissatisfied with any of our products, they are invited to return it to the store they purchased it from for a full refund or replacement. We go above and beyond to make sure every product meets and exceeds expectations, and if there is ever an instance in which it doesn’t, we make it right. This is a core fundamental of who we are as a brand. Furthermore, all products go through full compliance testing and quality control and COA results made available at the store, by request, and will soon also be published online. We would NEVER release moldy product or any product that had the potential of harming our customers. The allegation to the opposite is just flat out false. We stand behind every one of our products, including our FSO which has helped save countless lives from cancer and other life threatening illnesses. All of our FSO is ethanol extracted and purified in a 4-stage process including ionization… sourcing “god awful distillate crude from people like Heavy Hitters,” could not be farther from the truth. Any questions concerning our lung-transplant advocate can be directed to questtocure@cotcgardens.com and he’ll be happy to talk with anyone who wants to hear his story and experience with Cream of the Crop. We aren't sure what a PhD of Positive Psychic Energy is, or if such a title even exists, but either way, we strongly encourage practicing gratitude as often as possible. We have proudly operated in the California cannabis market since 2016 and are beyond grateful for the members on our team and the many activists who dedicated decades of their lives to make this industry a possibility. This is one of the best cannabis companies outbtheir they make FSO oil for cancer that's helping people. Do not destroy them. The industries that don't want to legalize cannabis want us to destroy each other in this community. They are good people and care about getting people well. My story having personal interaction with founders

My experience is that they are good guys, dispensaries love them and they make great products that get people well. They are like papa and barkley and care about the plant and wellness. They are in it for the right reasons. Its something that many of us with our intuitive skills just know, its the good vibe they give off. We all know the people and brands that are gunning for the money don't care about the goodness of this plant, they are not part of that group in my experience.

I got an 8th of that bourbon vanilla and it was pretty seedy tbh. I didn't know this was supposed to be a topshelf brand. I get these jars for like 45 -50 usually.

I love COTC flower. But...I have purchased a few eights that had tiny seeds. I also had 1 that smelled moldy. I still buy this brand but it upsets me to pay top shelf price when they are well aware of these seeds. Not cool at all.

COTC is probably one of the most over rated suppliers in the game. Over priced and definitely false tests for higher THC percentages. Always been a miss for me. 65 for the moldiest smelling 3.5 that legit tastes like str8 mold lol. I’d grab outco products b4 COTC lol

Sounds like a disgruntled ex employee to me. I’ve been to their facility personally and it has temp and humidity control throughout every room. Random seeds? Definitely possible. It’s an agricultural product. I’d be stoked to get a few beans of their genetics and throw it into my home grow! Dry weed? Maybe it was an older batch you purchased. The CA legal landscape is set up for brands to fail. It takes a brand at least a month from harvest to even get all the compliance items checked, rechecked, packed and sent out to retailers, of course a few dry jars might be out there in ALL brands that are at the scale of COTC. I’ve been to over 10 licensed facilities of a lot of the top flower brands and COTC has one of the best operations in the state hands down. My friend got a dry jar, reached out to them directly on IG, and they got him a replacement. That seems pretty amazing to me? I’ve seen posts online about how amazing their customer service is even beyond my friends experience. Blacklist, you guys care more about posting whatever drama is sent your way rather than actually looking into the companies you repost noise about. How can you guys be for the industry when you openly are paid to promote black market brands that pump pesticides into peoples lungs? How about we bring to light or how all your “recommended” posts are really paid for by the brands your promoting. Blacklist the blacklist ????

I’ve bought ~10 8ths (5 strains) between 2 dispensaries and 2 deliveries in the SJ area. From that to reference, COTC has been consistent with delivering some of the strongest genetics that I’ve experienced from flower.

Yeah, I’m not the same previous employee as whoever made this post but I’m calling BS on your reply. We definitely packaged and put out moldy product. Definitely was around for the “gratefulness” exercises that were absolutely ridiculous. It was a toxic place to be and maybe you’ll promote from within but you guys also fired people for little to no reason other than you could hire someone else to do the job for less. I certainly didn’t feel like family when I worked there. That place made me physically feel sick to come to every day. I’m glad I left.

I can't speak to the ongoings behind the scenes, but here's what I can say: I'm new to cannabis, just started at the beginning of the pandemic (I made the switch to help kick an alcohol addiction and it worked: YAY). In the beginning, it didn't matter what I smoked, I'd get high. Later that changed, and I became "picky" (need a high% THC and a really good product). So I tried as much of the top shelf best brands I could. COTC was one I had VERY high hopes for. I've gotten it about three times, especially after hearing all the awards they've gotten. But the one thing that was always consistent: THE BUD IS DRY. Like so dry it's worse than the one time I tried to save my CBX Super Silver Haze to share with my partner, and it was a left over that I had opened probably 1.5 months back. I'm sorry but for that price, when you charge more than CBX (Cannabiotix) does, a brand that CONSISTENTLY gives out bud that's literally fresh and dank in just the right way and full of beautiful crystals and just literally picturesque bud, PLEASE COTC, UP YOUR GAME. I really WANT to love your stuff, but at over $10 more than a brand who does it right every single time, this is not cool. So regarding the dryness, I agree with the OP. As for how high it gets me, it does work! But again, disappointingly, not as high as the slightly less expensive (but still expensive) CBX does (probably depends on the strain, but I only every buy anything with 27% or higher THC content). And it blows my mind that COTC gets so many accolades for being a top product. I do see other comments about how COTC particularly helps cancer patients, which is fantastic. But for the love of everything that's holy (which for me includes cannabis during the pandemic), if you want to sell your product for top dollar, stop selling bud that's as dry as a pinecone.
