Steves Goods CBD Bankrupted our Company

As a business looking to enter the CBD industry starting with $15,000, I ended up finding a private label dropshipping distributor with a low minumum and good product known as Steves Goods “Steves Distributing LLC” based in Longmont Colorado. We purchased roughly $13,000 worth of product and labels and the agreement was our inventory would be kept at their warehouse and dropshipped directly to consumers for a packaging and handling fee per order on top of the original product/label expenditure. With limited funding for advertising things were moving slow, and eventually my sales representative Andrew Karnes offered to ship my inventory to me in NY, with the idea I’d have better luck with "in-person sales."

I agreed and asked him to ship it all out. I NEVER RECEIVED THE SHIPMENT. I hadn’t heard back for months and months with endless phone calls and emails going their way. Finally, the sales rep answers his phone not knowing the number so I “reintroduced myself,” we spoke, he said he was no longer with the company and would reach out and get back to me soon. He never did. Finally he blocked my cell number as well. I had put a majority of my personal savings I worked over a year for into the business being a young entrepreneur and cannabis advocate looking to start my first business.

There is no such thing as "drop-shipping" cannabis as a Distributor "directly to consumers". The only people that can "drop-ship" AKA delivery, are licensed Retail storefronts ("delivery services"). In this scenario, you were working with a Distributor. Distributors can only transact between Manufacturers and Retail storefronts, and never end-user customers. Costly lesson for you, unfortunately.
